Designed and engineered for the home, the CleanStart® laundry system uses the same cleaning technology developed by for commercial clients like Marriott® and Hilton®. CleanStart® transforms cold water into a powerful cleaning agent by oxidizing normal tap water, injecting a controlled amount of ozone (O3) into the wash water. Ozone is nature’s safest, strongest oxidant and most effective disinfecting agent. After the ozone oxidizes and disinfects, it reverts to oxygen, leaving behind nothing but cleaner, fresher laundry. In addition to potential cost savings on energy and detergent, you may also spend less on clothing because fabrics last longer with less exposure to laundry chemicals. CleanStart® also helps the environment by reducing the energy used to heat water and the amount of detergents and bleach that end up in the waste stream.

How Does It Work?

  • (1) Installation
    • The compact CleanStart® unit is mounted behind your washing machine. Your washer’s cold-water hose is re-routed to the inlet of the unit and another hose is connected to the outlet.
  • (2) Computerized Control
    • As the wash cycle begins, cold water flows into the CleanStart® unit, where the flow switch automatically activates the unit, which injects the water with a controlled amount of ozone.
  • (3) Agitation
    • As the ozone-infused water is agitated in the wash basin, it begins to fold into the threads of the fabric, resulting in a highly efficient and disinfecting wash.
